The average time waiting for a kidney is seven months, while in the rest of the country the average wait is almost two years.” The waiting list is also shorter than the year before with 105 people waiting for transplants as opposed to the 135 of the year before. It would appear that they are not only thriving with their kidney transplants, but liver transplants too, with 2015 seeing a 27% increase in liver transplants compared to 2014.
