Located in the centre of Calpe, Plaza Central Calpe is a one-stop-shop for all your shopping needs. There’s also a food court so you can quite literally shop till you drop before sitting down to refuel. Plaza Central Calpe is open daily from 8am to midnight.
Another shopping centre near Calpe is La Marina, which is about a 20-minute drive away in Finestrat. Open Monday to Saturday 10am to 10pm, the mall will keep you and the whole family entertained for hours on end. There are 100+ stores, a cinema, a gaming area and an amazing food court.
And if you’re still in need of some retail therapy, you can head to Portal de la Marina in Ondara. Also a 20-minute drive away from Calpe, this huge shopping centre has all the high-street brands you could possibly imagine in addition to restaurants, a cinema and a variety of entertainment options. Calpe street markets
Street markets are a great way to get a taste of local life. Fortunately, there are plenty for you to choose from in Calpe. Held on Calle Petit, Calpe’s Saturday market is a great place to stock up on fresh and local fruits and vegetables. It’s only open in the morning, from 8am to 2pm, so make sure you put your alarm on.
Calpe flea market is another popular choice. Running along Avenida País Valencia on Wednesdays, 8am to 1.30pm, the street market will get you rummaging and discovering great finds. There’s also a clothes market on Avenida de Rumania on Saturdays 8am to 2pm and, in the summer months (15 June to 30 September), a night market in Plaza de España.
